Animation

I used photoshop to make the animation in the video above. I drew a few stick figures and made a story board of the animation then scanned it. I scanned it onto the computers here in the lab and then went forth with my project. I then used the animator tool to put in animation to make the basketball move all over the place. This was a fun project that made me explore the different uses of photoshop. I really enjoyed watching the final product. The only problem I really had while doing this was fixing the color scheme and embedding music into the video. I think the video came out great considering I have never made an animation video before in my life. I think it would have been better with music but it is still good. Over all I learned so much in this class that I will carry with me for the rest of my college and regular career. I really enjoyed the class too and had a great time working on these projects and assignments.

Custom Graphic

For my custom graphic I kept it very simple. I sketched a simple photo from google of a flower in the sun planted in the grass. I used the paintbrush tool and changed the thickness of it. I had trouble at the beginning of working on this because it was difficult to use this tool perfectly. I have very little white space but I did my best to sketch this drawing. I had trouble controlling the level of thickness for the brush tool but I gave it my best try. This was an interesting project again with alot of creative freedom which is always fun. I then used the color tool bar to change each color of the sketches I drew. 

Lyrical Collage

For my Lyrical collage I got very creative. I did a blend of classic movies embedded in the Hollywood sign. I love movies and wanted to create a classy collage on all of my favorite movies. I used the lasso tool to cut images out of their original stock ones and put them on a Hollywood background. I used movies that most people know and that are classics, because I thought it would look cool to blend all of these historic films together. I then used the eraser tool and crop tool to adjust the images to make them look more real and blended them into the picture. This was one of my favorite projects that we have worked on in this class. I thought it came out great considering I'm new to photoshop. 

Magazine Cover

This magazine cover is of a car magazine that I created. I came up with a fictional magazine and fictional name for this assignment. This was a fun assignment to use our creativity but it was hard for me to use photoshop. I had some trouble with the program. I had trouble adding the two other cars I chose onto the foundation background. I used the lasso tool to trace each image in the program and then pull it out to put in the different photo of the swiss alps. This was cool to do because it was interesting to alter these photos. I used the eraser tool to touch it up and make the picture look more natural. And I also played around with the colors and tone. I think it came out ok but I was just upset that my other images didnt transfer onto the magazine. 

Self Assertion

I took a picture of myself off of my computer and put it inside photoshop. I then used the poly tool to trace the outside part of my body and then transfered the photo to another tab in photoshop and put the picture on a background of Buckingham palace. I thought this was awesome because I have never been to England and would love to go one day. So I thought it was really cool to photoshop a picture of me in front of Buckingham palace. I then used an eraser tool to erase some parts that werent cut off already. Then I lightened myself up a bit with the opacity and then reversed my image to give it a shadow effect.

Harley Jeter Sketch

This is a sketch of Derek Jeter the Yankee Legend. I chose to sketch Derek Jeter because hes my favorite athlete that ever lived. He was the Yankee Captain and greatest shortstop to ever wear a Yankee uniform. Derek just retired after last year after playing 20 seasons in the MLB. I used the pen tool to sketch and trace a resource picture. Then I used the color fill in each shape I sketched. The eyes were the hardest part to do, but I got through it with help from my professor. I thought this was the best project I have done so far. My favorite part was sketching the detail of the batting helmet I thought that was really cool.

Harley Smokey General

I used the pen tool to trace around the object. I'm still learning new things about illustrator every day and I am excited to start the next project. This was a difficult project for me at the beginning because it was only my second project for this class. I think doing the colors for this was the hardest part of the project but I managed to get through it.
